About the Presenter
Nice presentation of key points to work well with parents. This course is an overview and for professionals who are new to providing parent education and support.
Parent training is such a huge topic and significant part of treatment yet so hard to understand and know how to navigate. This training was helpful with providing guidance that is broad enough that it allows for individualization as needed yet concise enough that it doesn't just outline vague recommendations. I've found it helpful with continuing to create systems to facilitate the provision and management of parent training and would recommend it to all BCBA's early in their career.
This was extremely helpful. There were lots of practical information nuggets that can be put to use right away. Thank you!
I thought this course started out slow and I already "knew" it all and then I was very impressed with how he laid out starting families. Great info. that I will be using in training. Thank you so much.
This was a highly engaging presentation and I really appreciate the passion to work with and understand the plight of parents.
This was incredibly helpful and a great way to begin thinking about how we can develop systems! I would have loved to see an example of a 90 day parent training system to better understand this concept, though.
This course is a must! It was so informative and real life on how parents could be feeling during this process and how to make them feel like valuable members of the team as well as how to let them know we understand this is where you want your student to be and here is how we get there. Also great suggestions on how to not just dismiss others ideas but how to let them know try it research is but as a bcba I need to do something has is evidence based practice.

Everyone should take this CEU!!! So so so important for working with parents and other stakeholders.
I really appreciate this approach to parent training. Being a parent in general is hard let alone being the parent of a child with behavioral needs. Most parents feel judged and also don't like being "talked at". I like the idea of a check-in system and taking on the role of being a support to them.
